Exhibiting at trade shows suspended for time being
Minden, October 2020. In view of the continued spread of SARS-CoV-2, Melitta Professional Coffee Solutions has decided not to participate in any trade shows or events in Germany or abroad, initially until the end of April 2021.
“Protecting the health of everybody involved has absolute priority for us. Unfortunately, this means not only strictly adhering to the accepted hygiene rules, but also keeping the number of physical contacts to a minimum. We regard trade shows as an excellent forum for us to share information with our partners and potential customers in the food service sectors. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting regulations, however, we feel that trade shows and industry events are currently unable to play to their strengths,” explains CEO Marco Gottschalk.
Melitta Professional showcases its full range of coffee enjoyment offerings for the out-of-home market at around 150 trade shows and events around the world every year. “They are an excellent way of giving potential customers the possibility to experience at first hand our successful concepts for the professional provision of coffee beverages,” reports Marco Gottschalk. The company was once again planning to exhibit at numerous trade shows in Europe, Asia and Australia during this fall and next spring – the largest being the Internorga in Hamburg in March 2021. Covid-19 has now put a stop to these plans.
“Customers and interested parties can contact our back office and field staff, in person or digitally, at all times. The value of strong partnerships is demonstrated more clearly than ever in such difficult times,” stresses the company’s CEO. Melitta Professional will also continue to intensify its digital communication activities. Those interested can explore the current product range on the company’s website, for example by taking a virtual tour around the company showroom in Minden.
